You Will Grow

You Will Grow

A Story by Brittany Russum

You are nothing more than a long awaited dream. Yet you will continue to grow into something so magical. You may not be aware of it yet but I love you now and will continue to love you more with each passing day. You will grow and grow but yet in my heart you will forever be a child. I will see that smile as the endless joy I feel deep within me. You will grow and become more independent but I will still hear the laughter of you as a baby. I shall never see you as anything more but my long awaited miracle. You will grow but in my eyes you will forever be a child. I will never fail to show my love for you. I will stop to play or roll in the grass with you. I will gladly listen to your dreams and fears. I will through the years play the song I sang to you on the day of your birth. You will grow but you will forever be my baby.

I’m surprised this lovely poem hasn’t been reviewed. I truly enjoyed the message in this poem. And really resonated with me. As writer of many poems. I birth words unto page. It becomes alive when it becomes appreciated by your reader. An inspiring poem. Thank you for sharing. Babe Roxx
