germs!

germs!

A Poem by Karina
"

i'm feeling cynical today

"

post-viral asthma

mucus flooding my every alveoli

so technical

we're in another age of enlightenment

or so i've been led to believe

i know more about my body than i ever wanted to

i know so many diseases i can contract

don't go to the hospital--

you'll get TB, or MRSA,

or pneumonia

don't forget to use a toilet seat cover

you could get herpes from sitting on that

or crabs

or even HIV

don't forget to ask them to open the needle in front of you

or hello, Hepatitis A, B, and C

what a world when my sponge carries more germs than the door i touched in the gas station restroom.

haha i like the sterilizing coment...

nice poem.. and its so true.. phycologically we are more likely to get sick knowing everything and being afraid of them in the first place....

nice job

How true. But I grew up not knowing most of this (yes, I'm a bit old) and grew up well. Still kicking. Good poem though. Should I sterilize my keyboard though?
