You Were Always. . .

You Were Always. . .

A Poem by Karlie Kadabra.
"

I lost my bestfriend. He moved away, met someone, and I'm still here. Is that enough?

"
You were always my rock.
My best friend and my favorite guy.
Every morning we would say "Hello."
Every evening we would say "Goodnight."
Pinky promises seem so childish,
But it was our way of staying true.
The day you went away,
Tears came down like rain,
You said to be strong,
To tame your feelings,
To not be afraid of pain.
I didn't know what to do,
Didn't know what to say.
My words tied a noose around my neck.
The chair tipped over and down I fell.
Struggling to breathe,
All the memories came back.
Remember the last sentence we said. . .
"You can't break a pinky promise."
I tried to run from everything,
But I just died tired.
I knew loving you
Would be the death of me.

Author's Note

Karlie Kadabra.
This isn't the best I could do. Sorry. . This happened just 2 days ago and it's still sensitive. Sorry for mistakes I might have made, I'll fix 'em sooner or later.
This is getting the best of me.

Very Lisa Loeb, and please take that as a compliment, reminds me of the mid 90's.

holy crap i loved it. seriously. it was vivid and relatable and just plain easy to understand. i'm going through the same thing right now, but i know i'd never be able to put my thoughts on paper (or screen) so beautifully like you did. great work. instant-favourite.

I'm sorry for your loss, as friends, as love, as life. I'm sorry you had to go through this, and this write is sensitive. i felt everything, maybe not as deep as you, but close enough to know what pain truely is, what heartache can be, and what falling to peices consits of. I wish pain was non existstant and unreachable. The world would be a better place. I'm here if you need me.

Once again, this write was well put, a soul touching piece that reaches out with dark hands and pours empathy into ones heart.
