Breakdown

Breakdown

A Poem by karmic

I feel so claustrophobic. Just drowning in

Crowding sickness and breathing sin

My words shadowed and depressed

Dressed in pain for your request

I sit back and don’t intervene

But I’m still the one who is obscene

I’ll give you a small confession

I’m tired of you hiding behind past indiscretion

For someone who always kept me standing still

How do you expect to interpret what’s real?

All I’m doing is being pushed in place

Another scene from your twisted case

You can call it a misunderstanding or a mistake

But I’ll just enclose myself in this ache

Left to be criticized

My work peeled apart and lobotomized

Pulled down into a district of hate

Pushed aside into dead weight

Causing all my words to get flipped

and all my meaning to get stripped

But by the time you break my poetry down

You'll be ten feet underground
