BEST JOB EVER

BEST JOB EVER

A Poem by Kim

The best job ever

Diapers and spit-up

Bottles and bibs

And crying of tears

Toys everywhere

And bumps on the head

Filthy hands

Runny noses

And gooey sneezes

With cough after cough

Now times that by eight

or even twelve

How do you say?

How can this be the best job?

Smiles and cuddles

Coos and babbles

Sitting up and crawling

And standing for the very first time

First taste of food

First icky faces

First step and first word

And the joy in their eyes

This is what makes it worthwhile

So yes it is the best job ever!

I like to escape into the world of my mind which then allows the scribblings of reflection to flow. I write what I feel and what comes to mind. Some are silly, some are dark, some are good and som.. more..
