Life Begins

Life Begins

A Poem by Marisa Kathleen Lopez
"

Life begins and it ends and everything in between repeats.

"

Life begins,

And life ends.

That's the way its always been

And sadly, how it'll always be.

Things come and go

            And others live forever.

            Things like.

                        Sins,

                        Pain,

                        Heartache.

It can be quite a lot

To take in if you're not

                                    Used to it all.

  But who knows

Maybe you like that sorta thing?

Maybe you like making people pay.

For things that they cannot control.

For things they didn’t want to happen.

For things that shouldn’t be hated.

                        All I know is

                        That after death

                        Life begins

And the cycle?

It starts all over.

Till death do us part,

Again.

That's just

How life really is.

Dreadful, isn’t it?

Ah, just an old piece I wrote sometimes back, you'll be seeing a lot of old pieces.

**I fixed it so it sounds better spoken aloud :)

I like this poem a lot. I have a bit of trouble with the rhythm. In some parts it feels slightly awkward to read out loud. I like in it how you have some of the words just have their own line. It makes them stand out and give more emphasis on that word and meaning. Good job.
