Dawn till Dusk

Dawn till Dusk

A Poem by Katrina Mckeown

Dewy lawns as morning awakens
Swans and cygnets
are on the lakes
while
clear is the swallows song.

Drakes and hens are near embankments
in their-nests
being greeted
by their morning guests
and occasionally little pests.

Bees and birds are nigh
Singing a buzz
as they’re-passing by
Some are mightier than the fly.

Woodland is being fanned by
The blowing breezes
Spring-time burrowers wild
Little off-springs
will settle them to be mild.

Later comes
the enchanting
evening sky
owls and bats come out to play
as the busy day has flown away.

I get a bit of a mix here between Frost and Tennyson....
this is quite good, my friend.

Robert Frost, pretty popular poet, lots of nature stuff, metaphorically.

"tranquil" ?
absolutely perfect!
I really love the description of the poem and it flows well. It makes me imagine the pretty scenery. I will definitely remember this scene whenever I'm sad or stressed.
