Life lived in dreams while our heads caress our pillows and we are cloaked in blankets and night darkness. Will we carry our dreams into day light?

 Within night vision flight

Dreams are such a fascinating place.

Oh the tenderness and light!

For in our journeys of sleep

 Who will we meet?

We never know where we will go.

Lost times somehow made right

To come upon lost ones

May we all find rest for our feet.

Hearts are given a place to flow.

Past moments coalesce aright.

Dark to shadow mysterious face

Hope’s solution carries the kite.

Life color in shadow

Spirited to the heights.

My dreams are somewhat frustrating. Either they are nonsensical, or are lost within ten minutes after arising in the AM. My wife, on the other hand, enjoys productions that would make Cecil B. DeMille envious. I think she may be smoking something behind my back.

Oh my, I actually kind of identify with your wife. Iv'e been a pirate captain. Told my mother about it and it's so fun to see her laugh. I'll bet that your dreams make more sense than you think. Well, anyway they can be pretty crazy.

sorry to butt in here guys ;} my youngest son use to have those "production" dreams .. whole movies and novels .. we use to tease him a bit i do confess ... saying he was making them up :)))) i'll have to ask him if he has had any of those lately .. peace and love people!

Just loved your poem re dreams
Last few years I was getting nightmares waking up screaming thank God haven’t had many this year
My dreams at moment are taking me to another realm sometimes with very familiar strangers that feel like I e been there lived with them in my long long other life maybe
I wake up and try to grasp why where who only to reach for my coffee In next half hour or less and I’ve forgot who what where ?
Other times I dream of my immediate family partner my kids and some deceased rellies mum sister father mainly

Yes your dreams sound really interesting and the idea of being able to have times with others we've loved and known is so rewarding. It's amazing how we live even in our sleep.

Who are we to say that it isn't possible. Many peoples, religions etc hold to similar beliefs. I think that the desire to be known and to know something someone beyond our own sphere is a part of human nature. We need to know we are not alone and that God is real and sees and knows us.That is my experience.Love your comments. Very thoughtful!

journeys indeed. thoreau said that, "Dreams are the touchstones of our character." fascinating subject. another world in deep slumber unlocking doors. on the infrequent occasions that i have one, i wake up and try to remember every detail of them but cannot, try as i may. i enjoy them as long as not a nightmare. i love the last three lines ... :)

I dream too much and that's the trouble with people like me who write with their left hands or keep, like a child, a collection of toy dolls. But there is no part of poetry that lends itself to either disaster or disbelief. You can look at the dolls faces all day long but you have to make them talk to each other. Always keeping in mind that their dreams are your dreams. And although their thoughts are their own the anthropic principle must be employed. I dream ferociously also. This 'night life' is amazing. I get where your coming from. Love your analogy with your dolls. Very cool to look outside ourselves. Just the earth's design speaks to this. We people need it's grace and loveliness so much.As to the universe...oh it is wonderful and beyond description...there is so much going on all around us. Dreams are always strange.
The horror dreams are actually kind thoughts, yet the Pleasant dreams can have all sorts of dark warnings.
You've probably seen it in your dogs through the years, the state they get into when they dream.
There must be something in dreams we're just not seeing, even if it's an outlet for brain activity.

Yes dreams are surly a great mystery which is why it is such a wonderful thing. Yes our doggie use to get pretty active in her sleep with little barks, leg movement. Your right too concerning the meanings even in a pleasant dream the presence of warning.

When mum passed last year, for a few weeks after, I had many dreams about her, my life growing up, but since have had very few.
Perhaps I should eat cheese just before retiring !!

I believe that a human being is formed and designed by a great Creator, All mighty God which put all the wondrous elements similar to all of this earth's inhabitants. Beauty, pain, trouble,love...etc and etc we all understand each other. One thing which is kind of difficult is the effect and infuluence of our earth's current situation. We are separated from one another in a way I have never been. Lord help us to find good in it. Thank you for reading and leaving something more to think about.
