For Danny

This is a poem I wrote for my brothers funeral.

You are my distant angel,

Cover me from the storm.

Hold my hand through the dark,

And guide me when I'm wrong.

You taught me to be grown,

To shine as i am,

And always hold my own.

You were a shoulder,

Through the hard times,

Your strength becomes my light,

Now that you are gone.

And now my sleeping brother,

The pearly gates await.

In heaven now my Danny,

Is where you belong.

Parting is heartbreaking,

It's so terribly tragic.

Know that you have touched us all,

We shall always feel your magic.

I promise to always remember you,

For your love of cheesy music, 

And your dodgy dance moves.

Even though it hurts so much

It brings me peace and comfort,

To know how many lives you've touched.

And now it's time to say goodbye,

A mourning tear falls from my eye.

I hope that you sleep in peace,

For you'r kind heart,

In my memories shall never leave.
