Shiny Treasure

i wrote this a few months ago when i was left with nothing, just paper and a pen.

My emptiness is swelling every inch of my body.
My strawberry tart is frowning inside.
How did we come to this, you and I?
Can we fix this or are we done with the ride?

I wear a frown from morning to night.
Because you were the only reason I smiled.
Now everything is collapsing before us.
And I am left to lay bruised like the knee of a child.

Waiting, waiting, waiting is all you leave me with.
Cry, cry, cry ,it’s all for you, just you.
How can you let me live like this night after night?
When will you just let me know its through?

So many questions and yet you leave me blank.
I am invisible to you, my feelings tossed over your shoulder.
Pounding drinks can’t solve your troubles.
You will only be stuck in a place that’s darker and colder.

I can not save you now, for I do not matter.
Our lives are no longer close and together.
My love will always be strong and will never fade.
But for now we are as low as dirt, no more shiny treasure.

this isn't one of my best poems but...it was straight from the pain inside at that time.

no more shiny treasure ..what a title for words full of misery
yes it must be your darkest moments when you wrote this
still i loved how you picture the feelings at the moment
