But That is No Way to Live

But That is No Way to Live

A Poem by that-little-green-monster

When death falls,

And the angel's lullaby calls,

No one is there to hold my hand.

When all is dark,

And the shadows make their mark,

I can fight alone.

Bravery and vanity,

Each only needs one person,

To make the feeling grow.

Alone is the only way to grow,

As others are just a distraction,

And if one grows lonely they can look at what they have gained and feel better,

But that is not way to live.

This is good but in the last line you've written "But that is not way to live." I assume you meant "no way to live." I enjoyed it thanks.

This poem pulled in two directions...the strength in growing and gaining alone, but the lonliness you can feek, when there is no one to hold your hand. We humans do need both, social beings, also loving solitude. Good write.
