Attention W***e

Attention W***e

A Poem by that-little-green-monster
"

This poem is about those people who can't stand not being the center of attention.

"

I can tell by the way your eyes flash,

And the way you glare at me,

You can't stand not being in the center.

You say you want to keep everything private,

Lock it all inside,

Yet when no one asks,

You let it all out,

If you're not in the center.

You always complain,

About people who always try to help you,

Yet you go off on long rants,

About made up stories,

When you're not in the center.

No matter how hard you try,

You can't blame me,

If no one cares,

About the tall tales you tell.

And while you try to act like,

The perfect person,

The perfect friend,

I can tell,

You hate not being in the center.

Even when we talk about someone else,

Or even myself,

You make sure everyone knows you're the center.

You make big scene,

Latching onto me,

Yelling about some new hardship.

While we're talking about art.

You always have to be the center.

I'm sorry it's not my best work. I just had major writer's block and I wrote about the first thing that came to mind.
