You Shallow Little Thing

You Shallow Little Thing

A Poem by that-little-green-monster

You shallow little thing.
You think of only yourself,
Knocking everyone down so you look taller in comparison.
You're poisoned candy,
Smiling sickly sweet,
Manipulating to get what you want.
You shallow little thing,
So absorbed in yourself,
That you can't see,
Nobody cares anymore.
You shallow little thing,
Flaunting what you've got,
So you're flaunting nothing.
I can't tell you anything,
You trade secrets for compliments.
To quench your thirst,
You shallow little thing.
