Blame Game

Blame Game

A Poem by Kia

do not blame others
for your mistakes
of love you thought was there
when you've played this part before
do not blame others
for your rut
you have all the ability to rise above and conquer
do not blame others
for  what you have experienced in the past
they have no control of this
and we are the sum of our experiences
do not blame others
for what you do not know
open your eyes really
and it will be shown to you
all you can blame on others
is their toleration of you
as you blamed them

Blame is a defensive action we use to cover our inadequacies when we know we played a role in the situation. At some point in our lives we grow, at least some of us do, and shuck off blame for responsibility and begin to live more honest lives.

Wow, that opened my eyes, but also made me feel a little guilty, because I have blamed my ex for al ot of stuff, and I know he "tolerated" me in all my wild crazy moments. Nice insight, great job!
