The Nightingales Song

The Nightingales Song

A Poem by kbwright

 It was a blessed eve,
Where heaven has never seen such celestial climes so divine.
And the nightingale from on a lofty bough
Dispersed that tender note upon the shadows hear.
And shades of night with all conquered,
Binds my heart with a lovers vow.
O' delightful muse, beneath the stars serenely bright,
Befell love written so sweet a poem made,
Where laurel groves, hold in honor,
My hearts rich endowments,
And sustain my love in fair array.
My brooding passion and her saintly eyes is my genius,
Beyond a poets mother art and a romantics faith,
The very hour that parent star became my twinkling host.
