a poem about two people's misunderstood feelings. this poem can applied to any breakup situation, but this was a personal experience of mine where a little confusion occurred.

Back then I felt so near

To something now so far

A heart beat so close to my own

But it got ripped away

By the icy claws of burned passion

Now our mouths don't move

When we pass in halls of grayscale

But our hearts still beat

Because we care

And I no longer hang from the edge

Of a heart I cannot love

But instead I stand happy

And wait for the bus back home
