Somewhere the Morning

Somewhere the Morning

A Poem by kdpgrahi
"

The flow of thoughts generally rule the morning moods.

"

Saints have never been saints

No one can say when the birds start their first journey,

Not by a long or short but you try to carry on

Just nothing more than a decent beginning

Who knows this road is wise?

Once taken you can get off at any other part

Perhaps thinking, sitting on a damp squib desk

It is still the morning and your day is about to start

Practice is the heart of the thing.

With long meditation, slow

Pulse and clean conscience,

You test yourself in belief and endurance.

Feel the calming of your blood.

There’s the sense of losing touch with second-guessing.

Uncertainty dances with a glee.

Time tries to pass surreptitiously.

Unsure but you under the cool

You can not say where wisdom ends

And foolishness begins to rule

You might want to check your punctuation, it seems to be missing in alot of places. I am trying to understand your writing and I'm having a bit of a difficulty. Please be patient I am new at reading different kinds of poetry. So please, express in laymans terms, what was this poem about?

A fine poem with a lot of objectives and words for the wise.

Some interesting thoughts and musings here, expressed very well indeed. Open questions, which are discussed, but left open. I like it.

wisdom is merely learning from the mistakes of fools and our own foolisheness - learning both contrasts of extremems, consequences and experience make us all a wise :) fool...

I see this a subtle shot at religion in general, "Saints have never been saints, No one can say when the birds start their first journey," although there have been many interpretations and beliefs, we will never truly understand how this world came about. "There’s the sense of losing touch with second-guessing. Uncertainty dances with a glee." This inability to understand the world around us is not a weakness, just a part of the total that we don't understand.

A lot of wisdom in your words. Last statement was my favorite.
"You can not say where wisdom ends
And foolishness begins to rule"
Thank you for a poem to create thoughts and questions. A excellent poem.
