A Poem by Kiera Scanlon

Her skin is like porcelain,
Fair and pale.
A tortured soul.
She is keeping a secret,
A hidden wonder.

Blood dripping down upon her dress,
And splattered across her body.
Her hands gripping tightly upon the handle of an axe.

Sprawled and lifeless,
Cold and pale,
Still and brittle,
Silent and motionless.

She smiles at the memories of the screams,
Screams of terror,
Screams of pain,
Screams as the sharp, cold metal sliced through their limbs.

Torn from their bodies,
Their flesh,
It heals.
A painful and bloody death.

Could she have done all this?

Thrilling. Fantastic. Loved it. You paint the picture really well with just a few words. Marvelous writing, keep it up!

This was scary and thrilling the description of the bodies had a nice rhythm and really accentuated the dark mood of the poem. This was very well written.

Well, she is pretty that her threats work for her I guess, but she mostly chops meat from the market I guess for the table...on the other hand, I find my threats result in some good for others but may be deemed scary.

This piece of yours trapped me in the setting of a horror scene. I love scary movies! They're actually one of my favorite genres. The clear imagery took me to this scene and terrified me. The tone of this is mostly dark and black. That is what I got from it. The axe that she held probably was what she killed all of these people with. I have watched movies where the person was so mentally messed up that they started to kill everyone around them. They have panic attacks and freak out. Thank you for sharing your awesome piece that took me into the horror scene. :) You are an amazing writer, Kiera. You are one of my favorite too.
