Strings

Strings

A Poem by Chara
"

for the memories/ people that we keep on holding on to

"
As I hold on to these little strings
The woven threads knitted by delicate fingers
Of time once stood still
Weathered by seasons passed
These little strings lost their velvet hues
As I hold on to these little strings
I failed to see how fragile they are against my hands
The sweat bled against the woven threads
Weathered not by time but my hands themselves
The strings I tried to delicately protect
Crumbled against the sweat of mine own hands
Of time once stood still

The overall poem is nice. The concept behind it is something I like as well! The only thing is that it lacked a bit of emotional impact. Your setup for the end line is there the only thing that lacked was what the setup was for (the emotional line) as it doesn't make me feel as much impact about it as I would have liked.
