Sometimes

Sometimes

A Poem by Mickey

Sometimes,
you say the
right things.
Sometimes,
you send
the goodnight kisses
and the good morning
hugs.
Sometimes, you
act just
right -
only I don't
feel
fire,
I only feel
just right.
And that, that feeling
that
mysterious force
that keeps the
world spinning
and holds
everything
together -
that shouldn't feel
just right.
Sometimes,
I need comfort.
I need to stop
the banging in
my head,
and the tears
in my soul,
and the
screaming
in my chest.
And you're there,
and it makes it
all melt away.
Swept by the
rush of
skin on skin
and physical desire,
and the comfort
of not being
alone.
But that's just
sometimes,
and sometimes
isn't always,
and I need
an always
more than a
sometimes,
most of the time.
