No titleA Poem by Kelley MontiyaThis piece is something I wrote about my boyfriend and I and the situations we’ve been through
He looks at me like every time is the first time
So impeccably perfect in every way. I wonder about the man tucked beneath he shadows every day. If you think you know him, get in line. Now I can’t tell you anything about this man that you already know I can tell you everything deeper than what you yearn to But who would I be to share such a thing About the man who carries me on his wing. His deepest scars are my source of light Mine are his source to take flight And when he flies above, we both look down Such a damn shame that they all missed the jewels in our crown. But beautiful beyond shear belief is what we are Flying majestically above the source of our battle scars. © 2018 Kelley MontiyaAuthor's Note
