This Dreadful World

This Dreadful World

A Poem by ken burke
"

a quick poem i wrote

"
The clouds creep across the sky
Miles above where life forms lie

We are ants in this dreadful world,
Our fates being twisted and curled.

Our lives are planned and decided
As we are clueless that we are being guided.

So I ask you once where will our life lead
You ignore me as I beg and plead

I don't want the suffering or the pain
I don't want to think of all the innocent you have slain

You lead us into hurt you, into misery.
If only you could see the world in which we see.

We might find love to you its just a whirl.
But we wonder where is the good in this dreadful world.

a very powerful poetic statement on faith and divinity and its relation to every day realitites in which the human being struggles all in an effort to ascend~ to call forth the deity to experience those daily reality struggles is a very creative expression well used in this write~
