The beginning

The beginning

A Poem by Kal-emma

So much of who I am is undefined,
trying to read me through these crooked lines,
I hide.
I'll let you see the real me but you gotta be patient
you gotta come at me lovingly
cautiously
quietly

Don't respond can't think with
SHOUTS
boasts
rough housing
.

Need me a soul who will ease, sway
take heed to my

thoughts, ideas and words.
You heard?
Say word!

And because my heart is unique
I'll not make myself vulnerable
I WILL speak out
on things I don't believe in.

Gotta have some kind of peace
A shred of thought to build on.
Maybe you can help me.
Maybe we can rewrite this song.

But you gotta come at me
lovingly
cautiously
quietly

Because so much of who I am is undefined
trying to read me through these crooked lines
I hide.
