Valentines Day Mistakes

You told me you would never leave me

And I don't know why I believed you

You promised and said you needed me...

But why in the hell did I need you?

The day that you left

You didn't even say goodbye

You said you wouldn't go

That was a lie

And I promised myself I wouldn't cry

Not this time

That one night 

The one when we were in your car

I didn't think you'd take it that far

And when we drove to the lake...

I knew that was a mistake

But it was a risk I was willing to take

Because your body felt so warm against mine

Tears started filling my eyes

Because in that moment I knew...

That you would never love me

The way I loved you
