Going Home

Going Home

A Poem by Jess K

Slipping away, you don't want to stay.

Don't pull the trigger. Did you think it wouldn't figure?

That bullet is out to get your soul. It's going to leave a hole.

What is age, if you turn the page?

End of my day, so I'll be on my way.

Harden my heart, because it's time to part.

Up to heaven you go. Your angel wings you show.

Weathering the storm's cry, my head hurts, assisting the pry.

Saddness glows. Genuine Souls.

Standing in the rain. Can you feel the pain?

A flower standing there like a tower. It's not looking for power.

Petals showy and pink. It's going to make you think.

The eminence breeze can't reach the tree's.

To ponder as we wonder.
