Revelation

Revelation

A Poem by Kevin Andros
"

Not every love story ends with both of them together. But that does not mean there's no happily ever after

"
The day you moved away,
Keeping me at bay,
what to do, or what to say,
Didn't let me stay,

And you broke my heart,
tore me apart,
as you depart,
Looking for a fresh start.

It's like a thunderstorm,
Lights down,
For everyone,
Who loves anyone,

It's like a fire inside,
Burning my mind,
Screaming out tonight,
Keeping my sanity,

When I realize,
you never loved me,
A flash hits me,
And awake from a dream,

These times,
Don't let us move on,
But now I know,
I never loved you,
And I am finally free.

I wrote this while my bandmate was plucking along on his guitar and was trying to match the rhythm on his guitar with words. Tell me what you think about these words. ;)

Your words are really making me think. Do we humans think ourselves into love? Then we go along for the ride, until we get that epiphany-wait, hold on, I don't love you, what am I upset for? That's a scary thought to me. Maybe we are all actors, trying on different roles, until we're cancelled. Oh, my imagination could go on and on with this!

Gee
Enjoyed the read. I have often thought how great it must be to be able to put music to lyrics or vice versa
