These Scars

These Scars

A Poem by Rodney Carlstrom

These Scars

Everything is falling apart,
It's all dissolving into sand,
Running through my scarred hands,
Some are old, some are new,
Cracked and bleeding just like you,
There's a million things I could say,
But only three words will do,
I think you know what they are,
I love you, there I said it,
Just one last question before it’s through,
Do you feel the same towards me too?

Oh. This was perfectly said and well penned.

"Some are old, some are new,
Cracked and bleeding just like you,"

Sometimes it sucks when the answer is not the one you were looking for.
