Loneliness

I think that of all the things one could possibly feel

there is no stronger feeling than that of loneliness

No matter what else occurs simultaneously

loneliness wins out

Life is only experienced in the presence of others

because being lonely isn't existing

It is simply feeling empty and longing

for the next chance to interact

And in case you could not tell

I am feeling lonely

I would argue that grief is more powerful but that is not to disregard your feelings. Being lonely is a hard thing to face. I've caught myself many times wishing not to die alone.

I'll bet there are a lot of people on sites like these that come here to hear and interact or to hear another's words. Anything is better than being alone sometimes.
