Colors and Lights

A poem about a person offering to help others to see the simple but vibrant things in life, that person trying to get others to see the colors of life.

You try to see
The points of light,
The little spots of color
That light up your sky
But you only see the grey,
The grey that crowds your heart,
The grey, that day by day
Tears your entire being apart,
The grey that suffocates you
Until you have nothing left, to say..

I can see those colors,
I could help you too,
To see the very pretty colors
That light up your night sky
The very lights that twinkle and shine
With every breath and sigh.
I'll show you the colors and lights
The very ones that'll give you light and life
And chase away
The cold and bleak grey.
