The Northern Barbarians

The Northern Barbarians

A Poem by kingfugazi

Roman, Greeks, Efyptians and more

Crumbled under forces the North always bore

Empires shattered and people freed

At least, until the conquerors learned to harvest need

Time consolidated that North to the itrelivant past

Does that equate to a future power destined to last

Did what shook foundations become the core

"We'll see," say Romans, Greeks, Egyptians and more

If that North still survives, not entirely dead

I propose it's swells in a cutizen's head

The Barabarians rustle, their frustrations flame

When they finally flood in, their cause is the same

And that protected power that raised empire

Becomes a brittle tower ablaze in fire
