Under The Bridge

Under The Bridge

A Poem by K. Roland

Under the bridge,
the fishes soak,
the birds bathe,
and the frogs do croak.

Under the bridge,
the poisons flow,
who will drink them,
no one knows.

Under the bridge,
the homeless stay,
the hunger fights,
and the addicts play.

Atop the bridge,
we look below,
we see our reflection,
our failures begin to show.
