I. The Fall of an Angel

I. The Fall of an Angel

A Poem by Kira Melanson
"

The story of an angel who believed he could overthrow God. Lucifer. He had a whole army and yet he lost to one angel. Micheal. His former comrade and friend. Lucifer's P.O.V.

"

I had created a war
,
defying the great one.
To take his power and glory,
I am no longer his son.

As I fight in my battlefield,
my hands stained with blood.
I get a feeling of excitement,
as more rush in like a flood.

The wounds and corpses around me,
are my powers on show.
My hungered pride fulfilled,
Nothing shall stop me, I know.

Until I’m face to face with a memory
His presence a curse.
But I’m no sentimental person,
I am the one to strike first.

We fought with our souls,
Both standing our ground.
Though as words slip through his lips,
I am the one to break down.

In my moment of weakness,
My guard fell apart.
His blue eyes blinded by tears,
As he pierced through my heart.

I will never forget him,
Nor his words as I fell.
When he told me he loved me,
The angel from Hell.

You must have read Milton's 'Paradise Lost', if you haven't then you really should as it sparks a lot of similarities.
You've touched on a topic very close to my own interest, I love religion and stories surrounding it and I must say that you've done every bit of justice to Lucifer as Milton does in his own epic poem.
You have some awesome, strong and sharp imagery - a representation of anger/defiance perhaps? I certainly look forward to reading more from you.

Another amazing poem XD, I simply love the story of Lucifer rebellion against God.

Interesting concept, yet again. Sorta following "Does the Devil Cry", but more in depth. The last two stanzas were a bit breathtaking, I must say. Great wrap.

Wonderful piece!

The fact that he is love and is made of love hurts the unholy angel more than any forged weapon... and that he is condemned to never be in his heart again... It is as if you were there... at the moment of his falling... writing furiously the details of his thoughts... perhaps in a dream?

I really like this poem. Powerful and strong.
"I will never forget him,
Nor his words as I fell.
When he told me he loved me,
The angel from Hell." Okay those lines are just beautiful and breathtaking. Great poem.
