Confessional.

Confessional.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

That moment that makes or brakes you, indeed!

"
How perfectly repulsive the scene of that girl,
Deposited upon fleece now churned in ash black,
Steel ground to a fine point now dangles in skin,
Full of acrimoniousness disease an addiction pack.

Veins tapped out until finally they implode,
To the simple mind of children now mute,
Patters once heard never leaving the ear,
Oh you, how that promise now notes on funeral flute.

Brace yourself my dear man, she belongs to gossip,
A w***e, that b***h, so selfish, they cry in church!
Ah those the ones without sin casting pure gibberish,
Death now hangs in the air come down from your lofty perch.

Mother, I found you in that hovel, the confessional no less,
A needle bright as stars in the heavens allow so mild,
goodbye you divine spirit, I love you more now,
Goodbye again from your footsteps, your only child.

Good going buddy nice write-up and really shared your feeling you penned it well. Shared the correct meaning of death with feeling. It trapped my soul to know that the child is leaving in grief and pain. Her mother bidding him a last good by with her tears and torn soul which is wearing and expressing her love!

Thank you for sharing

It is intensely deep and as you set yourself in motion with each line you realise it's not getting any easier but more deeper and luring, I must say a writer's mind is a place of no man the thoughts are channeled in a manner that no one can ever understand what is going through their mind until they convey the message through writing, .... Thank you very much it's a very lovely poem to the poetry world.

Thank you.
Enjoyed this poem, even though it's a bit dark. But then again, I like dark poetry. My two favorite lines: Ah those the ones without sin casting pure gibberish,

and: Goodbye again from your footsteps, your only child.

Beautiful wording. They capture a wealth of imagery and meaning in just a few simple words. Great poem.

A heartbreaking conviction of a culture of condemnation, always damning hopes of healing and reconciliation.

yvw… .
drug addiction has no prejudice whether saint or sinner, child or parent, brother or sister, young or old .. one must wear the hypocrisy if it fits ....sigh! :( the redeeming thing i see in your poem is that the child's love remains ..and tho faulty at parenting that bond between a mother and child is profound and obstinate ;) what a tragedy you set before your readers ..kind of sucks the breath from me :(((

Indeed thank you.
It is a sorrowing realisation that even in the most dire circumstances judgement never loses its power, this is really well written hon, emotively so :)

Wonderfully done. It is an emotional blow to discover that a parent is merely human and beset by their own demons. Good write, Thomas.

Powerful, honest and direct thoughts my friend.

The above lines down and dirty. My kind of poetry. Thank you Thomas for sharing the amazing poetry.

thank you Pryde.
While she might not have been the ideal mother we all think of, she was yours and obviously there was love there. Torturous to learn things such as this about a parent...and yet perhaps it is what makes us adults. There is no judgement of what you learned....just acceptance....in this write. I am sorry for you loss...for it is a loss. Lydi**
