There are no homosexuals in Chechnya.

There are no homosexuals in Chechnya.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A slight insight to the torture and degrading manner that Russia, Putin and Ramzan have bestowed on Gay people within their own country.

"

As Nero fiddled while Catholics burned as torches,

To light the pavements that did not exist,

Now the Kremlin lies to hide its lust for blood,

How dare the western world yield and resist.

How can we detain those that do not live?

Those people have no home in Russia’s breast,

Dear Ramzan, you insane little man of no colour,

Wear that badge of evil with failure your crest.

Taboo they cringe in this conservative Chechnya,

Men do not love men as the book has told over,

Sheer torture and capture is the only medicine,

Electric shock, no blunt force, stamp boot marks in clover.

Putin that friend of those in power and tall tales,

Leave people to their own happenings and guile,

Flee fellows as this will not end well for you, I know,

A story that lurks as many in hidden government file!

Strong write here. A total failure to accept the truth, to recognize diversity in people and show compassion. We live in a cruel world. My heart bleeds for minority groups singled out, tortured both mentally and physically and cast aside in this way.

Thank you.
this poem speaks of the truth that will hopefully be ended very soon . I think as more poems like this are out, we will one day come to an end of separation.

We should celebrate our differences! What if we were all the same, but what a dull, dull world we would live in. In my life I have known and been friends with more than just a few gay men. None of them chose to be gay, they simply discovered that their sexual orientation was different. For all those I knew none of them ever tried to persuade me to become gay. I do know that many of them have had difficult lives because of their sexuality. I wish so called "straight Christian people" would practice some Christianity and let them live in peace.

Indeed thank you.
Brave and powerful statement- rousing wake-up call to action against the murder of homosexuals. What are we devolving to? Why is individual humanity allowed to be debased and judged by these modern War Lords? ....
"Flee fellows as this will not end well for you." Bravo for your voice representing many.

You are most welcome.
There will always be heathens that want things their way. I believe people are born gay. I don't know how people can't see that.

Indeed, thank you Relic.
The world scapegoats difference my friend... and until ALL stand the few alone will always be beaten (real AND figuratively). Putin jails, Muslims - of ANY country - downright TEACH it is proper and all right to Kill. Change takes understanding and banding and walking the talk.

For every bit that civilization moves forward, savagery always tries to push back. Recognize the snakes in the grass and cut them off at the head.
