Twisted Logic.

Twisted Logic.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A study if you will, of the minds of those that think they are morally superiour to most of us.

"

Failing senses and twisted logic are never far from grasp,

With tongues of lies seated squarely in times mouth,

A new world beckons from men in golden thrones,

A mind will fight for freedom to run upon a new route.

Casting circles in sands with no premise of ending,

A finger pushes skin to yield to pressures of lust,

Crowns of thorns are all we need for pious contemplation,

The mirror a looking piece now truth's in the dust.

Make haste, make children, make peace are you mad,

Raping women a pastime for centuries of the popes,

Clearing woodlands like darkness lifted investments,

No river has torrents strong enough to wash away hopes.

Lay back and think of your Mothers embrace now final,

No longer are innocent if such things capable of you,

A sense of being is all we yearn for in the arid waters,

Learn quickly my fellows for heaven waits for a few

I never understand the logic of this world. Each day I get more amazed at the hate and fear. Your poem open the door to many questions answered with kindness and forgiveness. I did many mission to Africa with food, water and medicine. The gifts of kindness open the door to friendship. I agree with your ending. Few will enter the gates of heaven. Thank you for the excellent poem.

"Heaven waits for a few", that last line is a profound one. It caused me to pause a moment and go back the beginning of the poem and re-read it once more. I found that if I put that sentiment at the end of each line, the meaning behind each of your stanzas was very clear. This was a very powerful read for me. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing with me, my friend.

As is the turmoil of Life, thoughts and ideas only complicate it more. This piece is like a road with many avenues branching off of it. Scary road.

Definitely, a study of madness. Your form makes me ponder and reflect on what each sentence means and I like that. A very intellectual piece.

Nicely done. The twisted logic and circles in Sands and truth in the dust. Excellent. I wonder what the superior ones really make of this :-)

Another good one...none of your work is that of an amateur. Your message is always loud and clear...writing like this...may someday awaken the sheeples.

" Casting circles in sand with no premise of ending..."

I love that line. No, I ADORE that line.

Pretty typical view, I must say but still, it is quite true to reality.
