Circle of Fear

Circle of Fear

A Poem by The Devil's Own B***h

This place I find myself in
Is not the place I want to be.
It’s dark in here,
It’s so cold.
God, it’s lonely in here.
I feel so old.

Why am I out here
In the middle of nowhere?
I have been walking
But no idea of where I’m going,
There are no stars out here
So there is no way of knowing.

The further I walk
The darker it gets.
Where is the light?
Please, I need to see!
Oh God, I beg of you
Don’t let them get me!

The fear starts mounting
Deep inside my soul.
Where am I going?
Why am I here?
How long will I keep going
Around in this circle of fear?

The darkness is heavy
As it closes in all around me.
Where are you?
Why have I been left to die?
Where the f**k are you?
God, I guess this is “goodbye”…
