Left Uncovered

A Poem by KJVollaro
"

Contest piece...22 syllables

"

Footsteps in the walls

Responding to my calls

Dropping stones towards hell

Unleashed what's in the well.

Ken you are a great writer in all that you do. I like this poem the most for I the reader feels tormented by thoughts...that's what I got out of it...keep up the great work....

Nice job with this. It instantly reminded me, in tone, of the short story "The Monkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs: What you wish for does not always turn out to be what you expect, in fact your greatest wish can bring about your worst nightmare. You captured a sense of foreboding, terror, and guilt quite well in a very concise way. You definitely have talent, Mister.

Very well done. The flow and rhyme is excellent. Wonderfully penned.
