“My Dearest Friend”

 

I’m not perfect

Nor do I need to be

I have a blessed savior

Who sees the best in me

 

The holy word of GOD

It simply lifts me up

He is the sweet elixir

That always fills my cup

 

Let each tongue rejoice

Bring glory to his name

Since he touched my heart

It hasn’t been the same

 

Even the small sparrow

Can lift it’s voice to sing

There is no limitation

To joy that he will bring

 

Do you want to know him?

Then bend your knees in prayer

The best part about him

Is to know that he is there

 

In times of tribulations

When tears fall like rain

Just like a loving parent

He’ll take away your pain

 

No matter the situation

He’ll see you at your best

When our lives are over

He’ll give our souls rest

 

I walk salvation’s road

Until that journey ends

I have a constant savior

Who is my dearest friend
