supposition

supposition

A Poem by knightcall

i don't know if you know
it just seems to me
you keep hurting my heart

i suppose i should explain
give it a try
when these things spin
spin inside my head

i suppose there's a sense of evasion
a crumbling sense of infatuation
and most of the time
i'm left in dark wonder
but let me get to the things concrete

if i ask you to do it
you say you will
but you don't
simple favors asked by
a man wanting to be more secure

i only tell you because
there's a destiny without a pause
and if i'm not the one for tomorrow
let me catch you, trust you, love you
no matter how high the bar
i give points for trying
