Crumbling Society

Crumbling Society

A Poem by K.N. Thorn
"

Corruption at its best.

"
Wearing perfectly painted smiles
On contorted corrupted lovely faces
Their passing fancies dictate races
Look at the intense glamorous styles

Details disregarded in growing piles
Covering the essential standard bases
Universally we are connected laces
Future products of off set center tiles

All around, a foggy horizon for miles
People stacked neatly in little cases
Scattered in all the secluded places
Trying to trick you still with their guile

Suspicious of all the upcoming trials
Scrutinizing everything that passes
Be careful of their tainted traces
Can you believe their false denials

Thanks for reading James.
Very interesting read! I loved your picture of people pretending everything is ok with their "painted smiles" and while people are "stacked neatly in little cases." Well done!

Thank you. I think those two lines would have to be my favorites as well. This was a fun write for m.. read more
I like it stet/ as it is but could offer the edit or correction "intensely" as opposed to "intense" though both suffice.

my favorite line is "Universally we are connected laces"
