Symbolic poem about sunflowers and sunshine.

The petals were rays of sunshine.

A July sunshine.

The kind of shine that is illuminated

by cotton candy skies. 

A kind of shine you share

a beer under.

The kind of shine you can kiss

a lover under,

a shine that witnesses living.

I love sunflowers & here you’ve illustrated why they’re so irresistible to so many.
