Moon

Moon

A Poem by Cas Murray
"

A poem about an inseparable love

"
You are my moon.
I am everything I am
Because of you.

You saved my heart
From the darkest nights
I find peace in who you are
And your love I never fight.

You’re the sand to my beach
And the hand I grasp at night
Your voice is on repeat
The way you sang was always something
I liked.

I hear you calling for me
But I dare not move,
For I would not be
If it wasn’t for you.

This is a strong example of how a freeform poem is still best when gracefully crafted for a lyrical sound. Your message conveys a nice blend between nature metaphors with moon and beach imagery, but also with straightforward human details such as never fighting and enjoying one's singing. I feel the more you use unique details, the more memorable your poem can be. Well done! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
