How You Know The World

How You Know The World

A Poem by aria
"

"

knowing

the scent of beach on your skin

will wash away

the pink in the sky will fade to black

changes how you understand the day

how you know the world

you are wistful about a shift in the wind

reeling with the rustle of the reeds

the power of these fleeting frames

makes the flap of an egret’s wing

a wave goodbye

Dealing with life AFTER change means all the memories need reset and some ...just... don't, just won't regardless of our need. There are times you have to let a memory BE ...cause you risk losing your mind when your whole life feels hinged to something that NEEDS to be permanent and yet it isn't anymore. Their does come a time we wave into our own sunsets... but you already knew that too.

great imagery to show the end of a day, and how fleeting a day is...just like a relationship can be...just like life can be...that egret is always not too far away...from flapping his wing...so we better make the most of days. beautifully constructed poem.
