Solemn

Solemn

A Poem by Randolf Ramos

Of what character a sea behold?

Silently mum its depth

I thought it’s the fishes that murmur

On its portal gush, its peace I love to keep

I thought it’s a sweet retreat

It’s hard to understand

That upon its portal

It makes a squeaky sound.

Oh solemn state from it may stir.

Though rough it may, some may tell.

The rocks that shouts with its noisy ebb

A solemn state a mortal feel.
