Broken Abyss

Broken Abyss

A Poem by kris reed
"

thoughts on thoughts! (2011?)

"

What is, is

Do not change it,

It changes itself.

Falling and flying

Are the same side of a coin,

But what is standing still?

Piercing strain

I threw my thoughts at the earth,

And watched a shattered world.

Weary fingers

The fragments do not glue,

And can’t be puzzled back together.

Let go

What was broken will be whole

And you will not know it.

What was a tree

Was a pine

It is not a tree.

Stand tall

Do you need a mentor?

Here is the earth

Think deep

Do you need a book?

Here is a rock

Travel home

Where does the sun set

But where it rises.
