Hushabye Angel

Hushabye Angel

A Poem by Kristen Grace
"

Trigger Warning for anyone with SI or SH

"
Hush little angel don't say a word
Your heart is broken, your soul is torn.
Nobody cares what you have to say
They left you alone and pushed you away

Hushabye angel you're already dead
Too bad the after life is filled with dread.
Now there's no escape, in Hell you sleep
There is nothing else to do but sit and weep.

There is no more sunlight
You can't feel the rays,
All you feel is the constant sting
Of razor blades

So go ahead and cry little girl
Let yourself bleed out, you hate this world.
It won't matter, you won't even black out.
You're in Hell this is what you get
For wishing your life over, you are dead.

Hurry up and open your clouded eyes
To end this nightmare about your demise.
Your arms are still so so sore
From last nights pain
You forced yourself to endure.

Is it really worth it to let the devil win?
Too many times you have let him in.
So stand up tall and push the demons out
Before it's too late to scream and shout.

Put on a smile, forget about that pout,
Hurry up and throw the razors out.
This is not the life you want
But ending it would surely be worse.

If it's not okay it's not the end,
I promise I will always be your friend,
It's okay angel, you can cry.
I will always stay by your side.

Always look for the blue in the sky
For I live in the clouds that are up so high.
Hushabye angel I'm by your side
Whenever you need me just stop and say hi.

This is a poem I wrote a few years back while I was in an IRTP (Intensive Residential Treatment Program) for self harm and suicidal thoughts and actions.
I am much better now. I just recently found the poem while cleaning out my bedroom.
