Just a different Shade

Just a different Shade

A Poem by Krystal17

Black and White. Dark and Light. Are they so incompatable that they can't be together? Ever?

I'm punished
Just because I love someone the opposite Shade,
I'm hurting
With the amount of consequences I've paid

I'm losing
My family's trust
I'm struggling
With all the lust

I fell in love
And it just happened to be with you
It's not like i planned to hurt my parents
It's unfair they treat you like you're transparent

Your kisses send my stomach twisting
Yet, I find myself resisting
Not because I don't love you because I do
But because my parents hate you

It's not fair!
You say you don't care...
But I know you do
"I shouldn't be with you"
They were the last words you said
Before my tears were shed.

I miss the colour of your skin
Even though that's what tore us apart
I miss the secrecy
The way you caught my heart

I'm missing
Everything you were
I crave
Everything you are

And I hate my parents because they tore my heart in two
Pulling me away from you...
