BETRAYAL OF A PINE

BETRAYAL OF A PINE

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

Inspired by a Christmas special I kid myself into believing I loved for many years until reality hit me this year and informed me that I hated it. 12 20 11

"
She invited him to Purpose Theater
spirited his disillusion from a sigh's trip
into the cold slush puddle of self-indulgent woe
encouraged him to discard a demographic
heist under guise of frozen chaos
reminded him that icicles are translucent
children of the finest satin nature
not a budget tangle of foil gloss
She was a beacon of compassion
that blurred when the current of a clique
swallowed the reflection of soul-based direction
and spit out a spiked verb by committee

She invited him to a holiday and on arrival
introduced him to a trial
