I SAVOURED SILENCE

I SAVOURED SILENCE

A Poem by kublakhan27
"

"
I savoured silence
like the last bite
of black forest cake

Now that I am hungry
I wish it were the voices
I had savoured

This is so good bro... :) It is good to read you again, and congrats, on what's happening in your writers career. I'm very proud of you, This poem, although it's written earlier, could fit perfectly for that moment, you're right in now... But know words, are forever pressed on paper, also for us to read and enjoy on another way... :) and I will be one of those who of course is interested. So much said, and conveyed with the brilliance of little, it's purity. Well done, you are a master brain. ;)

Thank you Bryan
This reminds me of something my Mother had told me when I said I need quiet. She replied," Enjoy the voices while you can.. too soon it will only become silence". Much said in so few words. Thank you for sharing

The second stanza asks us to imagine how your savouring of silence has led to silence. Thank you for this roiling underbelly of dark thoughts.

Yep, that's what I'll write for the cover of your first publication: "a roiling underbelly of dark thoughts".

Thanks very much, I know just what you mean...
Ironic, isn't it? ...how a writer can change their minds a million times and still settle upon the same things, over and over again. I like that it's short; less to digest, low fat, high fiber. The consummate wording for a midnight snack of loneliness. Delicious! [Grrr! Arrr! ...he made that! (fade to black)]
