LOST EVEN IN THE MOST NATURAL TRANSLATION

LOST EVEN IN THE MOST NATURAL TRANSLATION

A Poem by kublakhan27

I.

I get it

now

Salvation owes me

nothing

Symbolism only

passes

for the real

thing

when reality is under my

control

anyway

II.

Leave it to the storm's

scenery

of froth to hijack and

implement

a green hypnosis on my

seasonal

contentment

III.

Indecision dances in

derisive

stomps on the shingles in

interrogation

of my all too keen attention

deficit

chiseling away the natural

compulsion

I appease from the hopeless little

square

of my wanderlust

enameled

window

I'd probably be in a better mood if someone brought me coffee...

Are you the wandering Canadian Benji...I see your so-called 'all too keen attention deficit' relates to the illustrious Mr Cohen, see, genius? Winter still colors your enameled window with vibrant poetry, whether you see it yourself or not dear. You keep dancing mockingly and I'll bring the coffee, just keep writing these brilliant verses. Cheers to your seasonal contentment, you want sugar in that coffee? ;-) xo

not sure which lines I like better -- the attention deficit or the enamel, but either way, a stellar write.

So glad you enjoyed it K, thank you...there's more cynicism where this came from :P
Ah, but will coffee help that "all too keen attention deficit" settle on a form to chisel? You chose your words to paint a mood, Steve, and it is impressive, to say the least. Saving this one to ponder on "seasonal contentment" a bit more...

This is a challenging piece to interpret. It is sparse, measured and egalitarian. Your choice of prose is also interesting. You win this round, sir.

Haha Yeah the level of sparsity is usually a reflection of how settled or unsettled I am at the time.. read more

Thanks very much Anand :)
Steve, whenever I peer into a kaliedescope I see a myriad of colors and shapes and patterns and as I spin the wheel they change, inticing my eyes to want more. When I read your poetry the same effect happens, your words, an ever changing metamorphis of thoughts and ideas fracture light as our eyes and mind absorb all that you have to offer. You my friend are a very talented poet and it is always my pleasure to read your work.
